3. Cleaning Products

Customers are responsible for reading product labels, usage instructions, safety warnings, and storage guidance before use.

4. Cleaning Services

Adept Domestic / Adept Clean offers residential, office, commercial, and other cleaning services.

Service pricing may vary depending on the size of the property, cleaning requirements, number of cleaners required, location, and whether the client requests labour-only cleaning or eco-friendly cleaning with Adept products and tools.

The pricing shown on our website or pricing documents is a guide unless confirmed in writing by us.

5. Service Bookings

A booking is only confirmed once we have accepted the booking and, where applicable, received the required payment or deposit.

Clients must provide accurate information when booking, including:

  • service address;

  • contact details;

  • property size;

  • number of rooms and bathrooms;

  • preferred date and time;

  • access instructions;

  • any special cleaning requirements.

If incorrect or incomplete information is provided, we may adjust the quote, reschedule the service, or cancel the booking.

6. Client Responsibilities for Cleaning Services

Clients must ensure that:

  • we have safe and reasonable access to the property;

  • electricity and running water are available, unless agreed otherwise;

  • valuables, fragile items, cash, jewellery, and personal documents are safely stored away;

  • pets are secured during the cleaning appointment;

  • any hazardous areas, damaged items, or special surfaces are pointed out before cleaning begins.

Adept Domestic / Adept Clean will not be responsible for damage caused by pre-existing wear and tear, unstable fixtures, poorly installed items, or items not disclosed as fragile or delicate.

7. Labour-Only Cleaning Services

For labour-only services, the client is responsible for providing all cleaning products, tools, and equipment required for the service.

If the client does not provide suitable products or equipment, the cleaning team may be unable to complete certain tasks, and the full booking fee may still apply.

8. Eco-Friendly Cleaning Services

Eco-friendly cleaning services include the use of Adept cleaning products and basic cleaning equipment, unless otherwise stated.

Our eco-friendly cleaning products are intended to be effective, safe, and environmentally conscious. However, clients must inform us in advance of any allergies, sensitivities, special surfaces, or product restrictions.

9. Service Cancellations and Rescheduling

Clients may request to cancel or reschedule a cleaning service by contacting us as soon as possible.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee.

If our team arrives at the property and cannot gain access, the booking may be treated as cancelled, and a call-out or cancellation fee may apply.

10. Late Arrival or Delays

We aim to arrive on time for all bookings. However, delays may occur due to traffic, weather, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control.

If we are delayed, we will do our best to notify the client as soon as possible.

11. Service Satisfaction

If you are not satisfied with a cleaning service, please contact us within 24 hours of the service being completed.

Where appropriate, we may arrange a re-clean, correction, partial refund, or another suitable resolution. Complaints reported after 24 hours may be more difficult to assess and may not qualify for a re-clean or refund.

12. Product Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds for cleaning products are handled according to our Return & Refund Policy.

For hygiene and safety reasons, opened or used cleaning products cannot be returned unless they are defective, damaged, unsafe, or incorrectly supplied.

For online purchases in South Africa, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act provides a seven-day cooling-off period for certain online goods and services, with refunds due within 30 days where the right applies.

13. Defective or Damaged Products

If a product is defective, damaged, unsafe, or not as described, please contact us with your order number, photos, and details of the issue.

South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act provides rights relating to defective, unsafe, or unsuitable goods, including return rights in certain circumstances.

14. Payments

All prices are listed in South African Rand unless stated otherwise.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Confirmed and paid orders or bookings will not be affected by later price changes unless the customer changes the booking or order.

Payment must be made using the payment methods available on our website or as otherwise agreed in writing.

15. Delivery of Products

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on location, courier availability, stock availability, and other circumstances beyond our control.

Customers must provide accurate delivery information. We are not responsible for failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery details.

16. Promotions and Discounts

Promotions, discount codes, and special offers may be subject to additional terms and expiry dates.

We reserve the right to amend, suspend, or cancel promotions at any time.

You agree not to use our website for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
